RCPro Fans,
Yes, that's right! Your eyes are not deceiving you. Quite shortly, there will be yet another RCPro design among us. Why? Over the last several months, we have received a number of complaints about browser capability with RCPro's layout. The site is viewed perfectly in Internet Explorer, but does not display as nicely in some of the other popular browsers. Version 6.0 (current RCPro layout) was tested in Internet Explorer, before Mac's new Safari browser was out, and before the debut of the new Mozilla. The newer Macs, for example, display the content fine, but the entire background is black, which is obviously not supposed to happen.
In less than a few months, we will have the new design template ready for testing. The new design will be all hand-coded (just as it has always been) with embedded slices. Load times should also be easier on slower connection speeds as well. The backend of the site will be programmed in ColdFusion, allowing a more interactive option to work from later on, whether it be user reviews on rides, a database, or even staff updates without the use of a FTP Client.
RCPro, which has been on the internet since October 2000, will be in its seventh layout. It will also include more content, more park updates, as well as the revamped forums. (The forum project has already begun, as users were treated to a brand new color scheme less than a month ago).
In the mean time, the site will remain to get updated regularly, and the forums will remain open with our newest contest still in progress. Once again, thank you all for your continued support. Our site hits increase immensely each month, and it is always rewarding to read your wonderful comments. If you have any questions regarding the new design, or would like to send us your support, please feel free to contact us.
Your Webmaster,
Brandon Elliott
