Tony Hawk's Big Spin was announced as Six Flags Discovery Kingdom's new coaster for the 2008 season Construction has been wrapping up and the attraction is making it was towards a grand opening relatively soon. Tony Hawk's Big Spin will be using the station of the park's former coaster, Zonga. The ride was pre-assembled at the Gerstlauer plant before being brought over to the United States. Although Six Flags has installed Tony Hawk coasters in the past seasons, Discovery Kingdom's version features a different layout. The coaster is extremely compact, and makes for a perfect addition to the park.
