Six Flags Magic Mountain, one of Six Flag’s largest amusement parks is located in Valencia, California. The park opened in 1971, and was purchased by Six Flags in 1979. It boasts sixteen world class roller coasters, including: X2, Tatsu, Goliath, The Riddler’s Revenge, Batman: The Ride, as well Terminator: The Coaster.
In recent years the park has, under new management, started to change it’s focus from the Xtreme Park that it was heralded as in the early 2000’s, to a more family-friendly philosophy. With this new family appeal focus in mind, the park has made such additions as Thomas Town, and the recent transformation of X to X2 in order to raise the bar of quality that had been previously slipping at the park.
The large, 260-acre park features 51 attractions in total, including sixteen roller coasters. It also features a CSI show as well as a Batman Begins stunt show. Through constant upgrade and under vigilant supervision from the park’s General Manager, Jay Thomas, Six Flags Magic Mountain has begun the process of elevating itself as one of the premier Six Flags parks, as well as one of the most successful amusement parks in the Southern California region. |
