700 years later, the hills serve as an excellent place to hide an amusement park. What once started out as an ordinary tourist destination was eventually etransformed by a family of wealthy Scotish Farmers into a small amusement park. Although the owners of the park have managed to keep it alive financially, declining attendence has become enough of an incentive to warrant the sale of the park. Beginning in early 2007, the park was purchased by the Merlin Entertainments group, who immediately made deals with some big coaster companies in hopes of making improvements to the park that will ensure it's future success.
