The hot sun beats down upon you as you walk out onto the balcony of a small hotel near the remains of the city of Pompeii. It's your family vacation, and you're left to baby-sit your six year old sister while Mom and Dad are out for a night of partying. As if things aren't bad enough already, ash begins to gather densely in the air and the ground beneath you begins to shake.
Suddenly, an explosion louder than anything you've ever heard sends you running for cover under the bed. But then you realize something. Where's your sister? Desperately you search the hotel room with no luck. That's when things get bad. You turn towards the window only to see your sister running up the side of nearby Mt. Vesuvius. In a desperate attempt to save her from the once dormant volcano, you board a boat scheduled to go to the foot of the mountain. You arrive and begin to climb, but it's too late.
The creatures of ancient mythology have already unleashed their wrath upon the small village, and you're right in the middle of it!
