Six Flags Magic Mountain opened in 1971 as
a small "Troll" themed amusement park where families in
Southern California could come and have fun for a day. In
1978, just shortly after the Six Flags Company was just starting
out, the park was redesigned and taken over. Over the years, numerous
coasters were added, and almost every year in the 1990's, a new
thrill ride was introduced. The park now boasts more than 16 coasters,
and the world's only 4th dimension roller coaster, X.
