Kings Dominion is located Doswell, Virginia, just 20 miles north of Richmond. The park is 400 acres in size and features an array of attractions-from small children rides, to thrilling roller coasters, to family shows.

In 1993 the park was purchased by the CBS Corporation and became part of the Paramount Parks chain. In 2006 the park was acquired by the Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, who oversees operations to this day. The end of the 2007 season brought the removal of the famed Hypersonic XLC roller coaster. The 2008 season will premier the roller coaster, Dominator, which was relocated from Cedar Fair's Geauga Lake amusement park.
