Family Kingdom Amusement Park is located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The amusement park sits directly across from the oceanfront, with its water park sitting on it.
Family Kingdom opened in 1966 and now features over 30 different attractions. Admission is free to visitors, with rides being paid attractions. The Withers Swash Boardwalk traverses directly through the amusement park, along with a natural body of flowing water. The highlight attraction is the Swamp Fox roller coaster, built by Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters, Inc.. The attraction, which opened alongside the amusement venue, was damaged in 1989 from a hurricane, where it was shortly rebuilt thereafter and has been operational since 1992.
