Disneyland opened to guests on July 17th, 1955. Walt Disney invisioned an amusement exposition where kids and their parents could retreat to in their free time, just to have fun as a family. It was a bold step at the time, but Walt's vision was very clear; he dedicated the park to the world in hopes it would inspire, entertain, and educate those who visited. Disneyland has been open now for over 50 years, and it continues to get better and better over the years.
