Boomers of Greater Ft. Lauderdale is part of the family oriented park chain owned and operated by Palace Entertainment. There are over a dozen Boomers parks across the continental United States. Boomers is a family center which hosts rides, arcade games, restaurants, miniature golf, go-carts, laser tag, bumper boats, as well as a variety of other activities.
Boomers of Ft. Lauderdale is the only Boomers to boast a large wooden roller coaster, dubbed Dania Beach Hurricane, manufactured by Coaster Works of Nashville, TN. Although it stands under the Boomers name, the Dania Beach Hurricane was actually built under the previous owner, Grand Prix Race-o-Rama, in 2000. Boomers bought-out the family center just a few years later. Today, the Dania Beach Hurricane stands as Florida's tallest and longest wooden coaster, reaching speeds of up to 50mph. The ride utilizes two pairs of Philadelphia & Toboggan Trains and interweaves amongst itself with many camelback hills providing guests with plenty of 'airtime' moments.
