That's right! RCPro is taking you behind the scenes at the UK's premier Theme Park, Alton Towers!

This update will take you through a detailed account of what I experienced over the day; I wanted to write this article to give everyone a bit of information on the tour itself.

The Behind the Scenes Tour, is something Alton Towers has been testing out over the past 18 months-it's something that was started by Wayne Burton (Member of the Alton Towers Marketing Team). To date he continues to run the tour. Infact, he was our guide for the day.

This year the tour has grown in size, with around six tours taking place this year. The tour originated as something aimed for enthusiasts, but through advertising on the Alton Towers website, has attracted a few members of the general public.

The tour is an experience that very few people get the chance to due, as it carries quite a high price tag for the average person. When worked out, the tour offers great value for your money. The day consists of park entry, free parking, a look at various rides (including Rita, Nemesis, Air, Hex, Duel, Driving School, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), and even a buffet where they showcase a vast amount of archive footage for all to enjoy.

The day was certainly an experience I'll never forget. As you can see from some of the teaser photos on this page, the tour was something rather extraordinary, offering a look from Hex to Nemesis and even some past ride plans-such as the infamous "Project Dolphin". This tour is rather lengthy but will take you through the day in as much detail as possible. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the day and creating this feature.
